It’s very nice to be able to share a nugget of this caliber with ya’ll –

at least in photos and backstory...

 As you probably know – one phase of our adventure is

excavating and metal detecting. 

So, we spread and detect the dirt we dig! 

We also metal detect the undisturbed, still standing wall. 

Getting a signal in that virgin, un-dug wall is exciting! 

It’s like “trail-blazing!” 

That’s how this piece came to us.  It was a bit of a thrill and a fun chunk to discover!  Just looking at it from one perspective, it resembles the back of a standing/walking bear – head down and tucked behind a raised right arm! 

Flip it over and the front side tells the same story! 

(very unusual for that to happen!) 

Now, you may see something entirely different! 

No matter what that may be, this piece displays real character and

presents a glossy, glittery finish. 

This is an outstanding gold nugget,

 just exceeding one full gram.
