"Golden Bird Point"
Bird points and other smaller stone points were used by primitive native North Americans on actual arrows.  Much larger stone points, often mistakenly called arrowheads, were really used on larger weapons such as spears, lances or atlatls being much to heavy for the smaller arrow.
Stone points were made by an ancient method
now called "pressure flaking" or "flint knapping".
We call this  the "Bird Point" because it resembles the very early, most primitive stone "bird points'.
It's a highly unusual, wonderfully formed, and of course, natural gold nugget with lots of glitter!
A very special piece!
