2.81 Grams    

These two gold nuggets are quite similar in physical features. Both are quite knobby and plump.  The larger one does show some intriguing formational strikings and striations where it was in embryonic contact with some matrix rock ( perhaps quartz) which left telltale markings after losing its grip over many thousands of years.  Both pieces share the same satin like sheen.  They were found together in one cup size scoop of earth when the metal detector divulged their presence.  One is well over a gram, the other approximately 1 1/4 grams.  They are no doubt close cousins and have spent many millenniums hiding in the same spot!
