This two and a half-gram nugget has a rough and heavily pitted surface on both sides – so much so it appears somewhat sponge-like.  In this instance, it makes the nugget very detailed and really quite interesting to study – and the closer the better!  Though it is remarkably pocked, it is still quite substantial.  You’ll puzzle as you wonder how this piece came to look just as it does!  A time lapse film of this subterranean event over who knows how long a period would be something to see!
