A beautifully beefed-up bit of Au,   

and a perfectly lumpy, ideally formed, movie-style gold nugget! 

The shape and texture of this hunk of gold is

a perfect throw-back to forever-ago,

 and visions of it served as a golden muse –

an inspiration for the 49er gold rush that populated

the Sierra Nevada’s and all the western gold fields.

I want to say that up to now no human has ever seen this piece

except for Buck and Ollie of Gold Nugget Man...

That’s true... But, then again, there have probably been thousands, maybe millions of people who have seen it in their dreams –

while never knowing that somewhere it really did exist.
